Created during my time living in Niseko, a ski resort town two hours from Sapporo, this zine traces my first year in Hokkaido.
Having grown up in the tropical rhythms of Cebu, Philippines, the move felt like stepping into another world. The snow, the silence, and the changing light all reshaped how I saw the passing of time.

Through these photographs, I document the slow transformation from the deep stillness of winter to the brightness of summer, carried by the breeze that circles Mt. Yotei. It’s a personal record of learning to see beauty in contrast, between cold and warmth, familiarity and distance, beginnings and change.
